Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
EarPitch is operated by Wikivec Inc. (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use EarPitch, and what we never collect.
Your voice is never recorded
The singing tests and training use your microphone. Your browser measures the pitch of the sound many times a second and discards the sound immediately. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded, and the microphone turns off when the test or session ends. We can't hear you, keep your voice or share it, because it never reaches us.
What we do collect
- Test scores: when you finish a test we save its score (for example a threshold in cents or a vocal range), never audio.
- Training scores, if you train: for each session, how close each sung note was to its target in cents, which exercises you completed, and the day.
- Account details, if you create an account: your email address and how you sign in.
- Plan and billing status: whether you're on Free or Pro, and when your subscription renews. Stripe handles payment details; we never see your card.
- Reminder settings, if you switch on practice reminders: the hour you chose and your time zone.
- A device identifier in a cookie (
ep_did): a random id that groups the scores from one browser before you sign in. When you sign in, those scores move to your account. - Device type and source: whether you used a computer, an Android phone or an iPhone, and a broad source such as “search” or “social”. Not the page you came from.
- IP address, to stop abuse, kept by our rate limiter for at most 24 hours, and in our host's standard request logs.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Share links
If you share a result, the link itself contains that result's score and date, so anyone with the link can see them. It contains nothing else about you.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel: hosting the website (IP address and request logs).
- Neon: our database (account email, plan, test and training scores (no audio), reminder settings).
- Clerk: sign-in and accounts (email address, sign-in method, session cookies).
- Stripe: payments (we never see your card) (name, email, payment details, billing country).
- Upstash: rate limiting (IP address, kept for at most 24 hours).
- Resend: sending practice reminders, if you switch them on (your email address).
These providers may process data in the United States. They act on our instructions and under their own security commitments.
Cookies
We use only cookies needed to run the service: the device identifier above, sign-in session cookies from Clerk if you have an account, and Stripe's cookies on its checkout page. No advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Account, training and billing records are kept while your account exists, and billing records as long as tax and accounting law require. Anonymous test scores are kept as statistics. Deleting your account deletes your account record, training sessions, test scores and reminder settings.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@wikivec.com. You can delete your account yourself from the account menu. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights and can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
EarPitch is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page and its effective date, and tell account holders about material changes by email.
